Imbroglio Variations + ALT-W

Imbroglio Variations: Infinite Order is a new moving-image artwork by textile designer Leigh Bagley, developed from his Imbroglio series of limited edition prints and wallpapers. Inspired by Jean-Pierre Vitrac's iconic calendar, the project transforms its graphic structure into a chronographic animation that explores pattern, rhythm and the perception of time. Created using Adobe Illustrator and After Effects, the work will be presented as a seamless large-scale digital installation across LED screens in Edinburgh and Aberdeen.

Co-commissioned by Aberdeen Performing Arts, Edinburgh Futures Institute and New Media Scotland’s Alt-w Fund with investment from the University of Edinburgh.
