Dundee Design Festival celebrates the work of more than 180 designers all under one roof at Michelin Scotland Innovation Parc, in the UK’s only UNESCO City of Design, Dundee.

The FRAMEWORK exhibition features the work of more than 70 designers, FRAMEWORK is a unique snapshot of contemporary Scottish design illustrating the multiplicity of ways that design overlaps and intersects with other artforms and industries.

Leigh Bagley ‘Pattern Forms’ an alternative and contemporary method of showcasing wallpaper designs. Bagley’s Calendar wallpaper collection is inspired by the work of Jean-Pierre Vitrac exploring imbroglio shapes adding rhythm and colour to interior spaces. Each design is based around a square tile format made up of 8 individual shapes mirroring the lunar cycle.

The contemporary colour palettes hail the Summer of 1951 and the festival of Britain over 70 years ago. Vitrac’s iconic design aesthetics are echoed throughout this collection, playful shapes and sweeping curves are juxtaposed and offset by the tile format with architectural forms and repeating shapes throughout. The collection includes five chromatic families where neutral colour backgrounds sit amongst warmer, brighter shades. Within each of these families, there are four complimentary palettes.
