Dieter-T4-Pink is the first print in a series of works that explores the visual language of Dieter Rams’ product design through the process of abstraction and translation.
The print takes the Dieter T4 pocket radio as its starting point, responding to the object not as a functional artefact, but as a collection of visual elements, proportions, structures and systems. The circular speaker grille becomes the primary graphic motif, with its repeated perforations translated into a field of dots. The dimensions and proportions of the original radio inform the underlying composition, determining the scale and distribution of colour within the print.
The restrained geometry of Rams’ design is transformed through layering, repetition and transparency. Blocks of pink, coral, orange and muted tones overlap to create shifts in colour, density and depth, moving the work away from the physical object while retaining a connection to its original structure.
The print considers how a functional design can be deconstructed and reimagined through pattern, colour and process. Rather than simply representing the radio, Dieter-T4-Pink extracts and exaggerates its visual characteristics, creating a new graphic language from the principles embedded within the original design.
The series will continue this approach across other Rams designs, using each object as a starting point for a different exploration of form, proportion, repetition, colour and visual rhythm.
Bespoke colour ways of this print can be requested. We will work with you and your interior colour palette to create a vibrant print that embraces and enhances the scheme within your interior space. We will guide you to help you consider embracing bolder colours and inspire you to be confident in your colour choices.

We work on a 'Print on Demand' service meaning we don't hold stock of our prints. Once we recieve your order we aim to have your print dispatched within 10 working days.
For dispatch, the print is rolled and securely placed in a cardboard tube and sent via UPS or Parcel force.
